Travel API Integration
AES Technologies developed an online ticket reservation system by integrating APIs like Ticket Goose, Ticket Simply and Universal Travels. With the help of this system, agents can book tickets according to the customer’s requirement. The main requirement by the travel agents is to design an application to book the tickets online for all the travel routes covering south India or the entire India.
We have given the solution in the form of In-house booking and API integrated solution. The searches will result the route availability from all the sources (In house and API). The seat layout will be dynamic based on the seat structure of the buses. On selection of seats, the seats will undergo booking process.
API Integration
Loading Destinations :
Initially the system will list all the available stations from which the buses will start. Based on the selection of starting point, destinations will be listed.
Search Result or Routes Availability :
According to the search criteria [From Station, To Station, Journey Date], the search result page will display the available buses with some necessary information like bus type, bus operator, boarding points, departure time, reaching time and Fare details.
Seat Layout :
The seat layout is differs based on the structure of the bus and each API is having different approach on Seat Layout displays. The seat Layouts like Seats type, Sleeper type, Seat + Sleeper types also involved in this approach. This is created dynamically.
Pickup Points & Dropping Points :
Customers can choose their Pick up points according to their comforts. Few travels are selected based on the convenient pick up points and dropping points. With this, the API system will list the Pick up time and dropping time.
Booking :
The booking process involves the steps like holding the seat and confirming the seats. Once the API sends a success message, the ticket can be shown and it can be printed. In few cases, the system will generate a temporary ticket Numbers and the same will be confirmed later. In few approaches, there will be no holding of seats. The booking of seats will be carried out directly.
Ticket Generation :
Ticket generation is carried out dynamically. Tickets differ from bus operator to bus operator and terms also differ from one to other. With this, the bus operator logo, API provider’s logo and contact numbers are displayed in the ticket.
Ticket Cancellation :
In all the APIs the system allows complete ticket cancellation and partial cancellations. According to the cancellation policies of the individual bus operators, the cancellation amount fee is calculated.
Reports Generation :
Various booking and cancellation reports are developed against the APIs and In-house booking. With this, the needed reports like profit and loss statement, day wise booking, and agent wise booking are also generated here.
