Configuring Mozilla for E-Mail
- Start Mozilla
- From the "Window" menu select "Mail & Newsgroups"
- Click the "Create a new account" link
- Select "Email account" and click the "Next >" button
- Enter your name and your email address; click the "Next >" button
- In the "Incoming mail server" box enter your mail server; click the "Next >" button
- Enter your username ("jersmith" in the example "jersmith@aesasp.com"); click the "Next >" button
- Give the account a meaningful name, like "aes" and click the "Next >" button
- Click the "Finish" button
Not done yet! There's one more set of steps:
- From the "Edit" menu, select "Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings"
- Click on "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" in the list on the left <
- In the server name box, enter your outgoing mail server name
- Uncheck the "Use name and password" check box (unless required by your ISP)
