Access Mail

Configuring Eudora 5 for MacOS

1. From the Tools menu, select "Accounts"
2. Click on the "Mail" tab
3. Click the "New" button
4. For Outlook Express and Entourage 2004 users, click the "Configure Account Manually" button
5. Select "POP" or "IMAP (what's the difference?) and click the Okay button
6. You will now have the "Edit Account" window as shown in Figure 1. In the "Account name" box enter a descriptive name for this email account.
7. In the "Name" box enter your name
8. In the "E-mail address" box enter your e-mail address
9. In the "Account ID" box enter your username (see Figure 1 for example)
10. In the POP (or IMAP) server box, enter your server name (see Figure 1 for example).
11. In the SMTP server box, enter your server name (same as step 10, unless you are a DSL/cable modem user)
12. Click the "Click here for advanced receiving options" box
